Security Scan - MiG 27 'Bahadur' Commissioned in to the Indian Air Force in 1985 , the MiG 27 remained an integral part of its combat strength for over three decades . The last squadron of upgraded MiG 27 was decommissioned last week bringing and end to the 34 year long journey of this formidable ground attack fighter aircraft. Single engine single seater tactical strike fighter aircraft MiG 27 participated in all major operations of Indian Air Force and played a stellar role in the Kargil war . This fighter jet's heroics during the Kargil conflict earned it the nickname 'Bahadur' from the air force pilots.
