Stalin vs. Martians is a 2009 real-time tactics game developed by Mezmer Games and published by Dreamlore, among others. It utilises the Enigma engine, which is most prominently used in the Blitzkrieg series.
The game tells the story of Martians landing in the Soviet Union during Nazi Germany's invasion. The player character is tasked by Stalin to fend off the alien invaders.
Stalin vs. Martians provides the player with a number of starting units. Money won by killing enemies can be used to reinforce those units or to buy support powers.
Enemies can also drop power-ups that strengthen whatever unit picks them up. The units include basic infantry, special forces, artillery, and various tanks. The aliens field a number of colourful units.
Stalin vs. Martians has a singleplayer campaign featuring twelve missions. The Martians are not playable, and there is no multiplayer.
The game was critically panned. It as supposed to get a sequel named Stalin vs. Martians Online, which never manifested. A third part failed to attract attention on Kickstarter, and Stalin vs. Martians 4 is in development as of 2019.
