Fixing a faucet with low water flow (how to DIY)

Fixing a faucet with low water flow (how to DIY) Fixing a problem with my bathroom faucet. The water flow / pressure coming out off the faucet is noticeable less than it used to be.
In this case there is no difference between hot and cold water, which indicates that the reason has a common cause. The aerator at the tip of the faucet is clogged with mineral deposits, which come out the water pipes.
We remove the aerator with a help of channel-locks and an old rag, which we use to protect the fragile metal surfaces from scratching.
Losen the aerator and then unscrew it by hand. The mineral deposits are easy to see and to clean up. Simply wash them away with some fresh water.
Re-install the aerator and tighten it again with the channel-locks.
