Tone Barre Technique Tips Pulling Into The Barre & Away

Tone Barre Technique Tips Pulling Into The Barre & Away Barre is really known for being effective if you are doing the exercises correctly so we’re here to let you in on some technique secrets to help you get the most muscle for your burn. So, when the instructor says “pull into the barre and back out,” here is what they actually mean. In chair, the goal is to maintain the 90 degree angle of your legs and pull your chest into the barre with your arms. This is going to keep those legs working and shaking! If you find the 90 degree angle to be a “not yet,” no sweat, just lift your seat up a little and try to maintain that angle instead. Now in waterski, the burn is slightly less intense. You want to actually think about bending your knees more on the way back in! When we pull to the barre, we tend to straighten the legs completely, and thus losing the work in those quads. Every time you hinge back and pull back in, think about deepening that bend! The more intentionally you are with these movements, the more you are going to reap the benefits of the burn! Happy thigh day!
