The marble for the bench seat should be fabricated and made to the right size, if it needs to be trimmed a grinder with a dry cutting blade can be used. The marble for the curb on the other hand will be of a manageable size and can be easily cut to length on a wet saw. The marble should be set on the bench so that it is slightly tilted towards the inside of the shower, so that any water that falls on the seat will flow of and towards the drain, the same goes for the marble on the shower curb, but the tilt of the curb should only be slight so that it will not interfere with the bottom of a glass door that will be installed. Use the correct type of mortar for the type of system and stone that is being used. Mortar should be applied to both the substrate and the stone to insure full support of the stone pieces.
