Funding for their fight has increased by 20-30 million and there are hints a compromise will be reached. However, I fear it won't be the type of compromise that drivers expected. I want to encourage discussions based on facts not on emotions. Emotional pleas can manipulate people easier than bringing the facts to light.
The rideshare industry looks like it's going to be impacted a lot less than other sectors of the gig economy that got pulled into this fight. Journalists, writers, photographers, actors, truck drivers, you name it. If they didn't have money to carve out an exemption for themselves they got bit. Some of them cheered it on. Some drivers may be in the same boat.
We can come to our own conclusions, but it doesn't hurt to explore every viewpoint we possibly can. Whether it's good or bad.
I know it looks blurry, I'm trying a new camera position.
