Hi everyone! I’m Jadyn, and I’m nothing without music. No, I really am nothing. Music has always been a big part of my life. When I was younger, I would listen to my ipod constantly. I took singing lessons for years, I learned how to play guitar, dabbled a bit in piano, and I love listening to YouTube. All the time. My parents constantly bug me because I listen to music more than I do anything else, but it’s hard to explain how music makes me feel. I don’t like large crowds. Being boxed in with a lot of noise, and talking, surrounded by people isn’t my thing. I also dislike consistent loud noises, but that’s not relevant. When I have my headphones in, and I’m listening to music, it makes me feel secure and safe. It also takes my mind off of the huge sea of people around me. One time, my family and I went on a day trip to the beach. One of which is the busiest beach around. On the trip, my parents made me leave my headphones in the car. I really didn’t want to, but I had to. To put it simply, I was miserable, and close to breaking down in tears or anxiety. I couldn’t tell. There were a lot of people there, having fun and enjoying themselves… but their screaming and loud laughter didn’t make me enjoy myself. I was nervous, and felt out of place. All of the lights from food joints flashing different colors, loud rumbling noises from the area with the rides… it was overwhelming. My family seemed to be having fun, though. Sadly, I can’t say the same thing. Watch the full video to hear the entire story.
