The pupil is known as the first circle of pigeons eye. Pupils must be small and in center within a spaciously pigmented open eye. It is an indication of a quality long distance flyer pigeon.
The pupils of high-quality pigeons should be rich black in color. Pupils are generally expected to be well round in shape. Oblong pupils are sometimes found among birds of high quality.
