When you move your arm or leg, core muscles activate first before any of your limb muscles do. This means you can turn any exercises into 'core' exercises as long as you activate your core before doing that exercise. That's why it is also called 'Power house' where any form of power or strength in your body originates from. This itself gives you a strong reason to work on the deep layer of your core! You can have shorter breaths if holding long breaths is a bit difficult.
