Hi Everyone! Today we’re doing a serving tray makeover to turn it into an ultra glam, budget friendly, vanity tray.
For the ultimate glam, girly, elegant vanity decor, I think you can’t go wrong reaching for the vintage inspired gilded glitz of bygone eras. Old Hollywood, and the gilded, well, everything of Versailles. Basically I love anything with a good amount of sparkle and shine and color. I also love items, whether they are vintage or not, that look like they have some time and history to them. Something that tells a story, even if it’s brand new, or better yet, a brand new DIY.
Using gold leafing, I’m adding a textured bit of golden sparkle to this silver dollar tree tray. It’s a simple upgrade, but it definitely makes an impact. With the added gem feet on the underside of the tray it’s transformed into a really beautiful piece of home decor perfect to top the vanity with.
I’ve decided to keep some beautiful perfume bottles and lipsticks on mine. I think it adds just the right touch of vintage glamour to my vanity set. I love the mixed metals and textures too.
