DISCLAIMER: I take no credit in the discovery of this technique as this was taught to me by some of the kind players in the God Eater International discord and I just simply wish to share it. This is basically a technique that allows you to shorten your guarding animation backswing and is perfect for Tower Shield users. The video demonstrates how its done for short blade and buster blade. The difference for SB isnt as noticable as compared to BB due to its capability to use advanced guard. This allows you to speed up your attacks but requires a bit of practice to use.
HOW TO EXECUTE: With the right timing, press the opposite directional button you are facing and immediately let go of the guard button from the moment you start blocking.
