This video will walk you through creating new primary and secondary attacks for heros in Overwatch. As stated, while this is not the only way to handle creating new attacks, it does allow for total freedom, though at the cost of the polish available from the original attacks. That being said, when it comes to passive abilities, such as reaper's life steal, or truly different attacks, this is a much better process.
Note: When making this primary, the direction facing is multiplied by the distance and this value is added to the position. I just wanted to make sure this was clear, as while making these firings, I would miss these sometimes and ended up with bad firings, such as only shooting on level, instead of being able to fire up or down.
