Meanwhile, a couple living in Wuhan say the situation on the ground there has been overhyped. American citizen Marissa Lindsay works in an English training centre and her Chinese partner Siu Mingto works in the media.
The couple says whilst public transport has been shut down, the supermarkets are fully-stocked and people are free to walk around.
And as Nita Blake-Persen reports, the couple believes Wuhan is the safest place in China to be.
