How Google will rule the world through classrooms and education

How Google will rule the world through classrooms and education As wearable technology such as smart watches and smart glasses become more prominent the more likely it is that technology companies such as Google will infiltrate school classrooms. We are seeing the beginning of data driven education where schools are issuing chrome books and tablets allowing students to utilise Google productivity applications, not to mention Google classroom in order to research, produce and submit class and homework assignments. Google Chrome books and tablets not to mention smart phones are enabling schools, teachers and technology companies to track and analyse students’ academic endeavours. Google interactive learning applications allowed teachers to assign homework, provide comments, revisions and grades. Google chrome books can lock had a long student spent on an assignment, what in gauge is any particular student, what they succeed at, what challenges they insure, what time they tend to do the homework, they’re writing style, and many more data points. This will allow technology companies such as Google to follow students throughout the academic careers and later into life. The acquisition of Fitbit by googles parent company alphabet Inc may allow Google to infiltrate the classroom even deeper through tracking and analysing even more data points such as health data and dietary data which may enable Google to map any correlations between those two variables and academic achievement.

In China schools have already adopted EEG headbands in many classrooms in order to analyse student engagement, visual responses, focus and concentration rates as well as study times. China is investing heavily in artificial intelligence programs which the education system is set to adopt in order to prepare China for the next century and beyond. this investment in technology is aimed to propel China into the next century and become the worlds next superpower.

Technology in the classroom will enable schools governments and corporations to identify the students best equipped to tackle real-world issues such as climate change, pollution, water shortages et cetera. It will also allow technology companies to determine the healthiest lifestyle for individuals and the most effective time to tackle certain subjects and academic work. It will also allow governments and institutions to identify specific talents that students possess that may be required to fill critical skills gaps in any nations economy as the shifting job markets become increasingly automated.
