IMPORTANT: one correction: LAY is a TRANSITIVE verb (needs direct object) and LIe is intransitive (no direct object). During the lesson I mistakenly said intransitive and wrote intransitive in the slides. The explanation is right, though, just the choice of words. I realized the mistake as soon as I started talking about "lie" but I didn't have time to go back and explain. I really thought I had typed "transitive" oh bummer! But now you know it =)
