Trout Assessment, Part 4 - Management Options

I've been exploring the Assessment of Sea Trout in Louisiana, 2019 Report in a series of videos, and here is Part 4. This episode is special, because I am able to report on the LA WLF Management Options prepared for the Fisheries Commission. Many people have been wondering what WLF will put forth for management of the stock, and so I have gone through in detail the options and ramifications to anglers and the fishery.

In the second part of the video, I show how mathematical relationships between fecundity and survival help us understand how the various management options effect the spawning stock biomass.

I hope this exploration into the management options will shed more light on the coming changes to the LA Speckled Trout management, and help you prepare for sharing your opinion with WLF during the comment period.
