Without consulting a doctor, people prefer visiting pharmacies and take antibiotics unnecessarily. In this concern, Dr. Zahid Asghar has added up that many common diseases such as flu and cold are caused by viruses, which cannot be treated with antibiotics. The purpose of antibiotics is to destroy bacteria, which makes it ineffective to virus-causing diseases. Therefore, Dr. Zahid Asghar has advised to take antibiotics only under the supervision of a physician.
