'No Formal Instructions Given To Indian Airlines' : DGCA On Indian Carriers

Initially, ANI reported -- quoting government sources -- that Indian carriers were told to avoid Iranian, Iraqi, and Gulf airspace in view of the tensions in the region.

But the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said no formal instructions were given to Indian airlines.

It also said it held meetings with concerned carriers and asked them "to remain vigilant and take all precautions".
