Dry cough, cold, allergy, flu and sinus problems can be very uncomfortable and may occur to both children and adults. Most of these diseases are contagious and are spread through bacteria. The treatment for severe bacterial infections require antibiotics. There are a number of clinical treatments and over the counter medicines that can be used to alleviate them but unfortunately some of them have their own contra-indications. There are also at-home remedies which can be just as effective in many cases. However, for those who prefer to avoid chemicals, I am sharing some very effective home remedies that can help people who are suffering from cold, cough and a sore throat particularly during the winter season. Through a very simple formula you can make your own cough syrup, throat lozenges (cough candies, throat candies) and Joshanda at home from all natural ingredients like ginger, honey and lemon etc. These natural remedies may help to relieve a cough, running nose and sneezing. However, there are certain measures which may prevent from these diseases; i.e., by taking steam before going to bed, gargle with salt water, taking enough rest, taking balanced diet, drinking plenty of warm water, applying Eucalyptus oil and Vaseline to open blocked nose, wearing warm clothes and taking vitamin C (orange juice) etc.
