Day Five: Todays practice is Witnessing Sensation MediationTechnique
We're simply going to be witnessing sensations as they arise in the body, and instead of focussing on the entire body, we are going to focus on on tiny little area of the body... The upper lip space
This is a fantastic learning meditation technique that will help you quiet the mind and keep focus, drawing you back to one focal point when your mind starts to wander. The idea is whatever the sensation is whether it's pleasant or unpleasant we can sit in that awareness and let it come and let it pass without reacting to it.
With much practice, this becomes easier and easier to do to when we can engage fully in the practice of meditation. Until then, whether you are able to fully meditate for a few seconds, a few minutes or the complete 15mins ... that is perfect for you.
Just Listen - 15-minute beginners guide to meditation techniques 7-day series is designed to teach those new-to-meditation to meditate using different focal techniques and with a bit of practice you will be able to fall easily into the exact right meditation for you.
