Good fortune! ~Hop~ along as we celebrate the Year of the Mouse at the Lunar New Year celebration in Disney California Adventure. Lunar New Year celebrates the start of the new year according to the Chinese lunar calendar. The Lunar New Year festival runs Jan. 17 to Feb. 9, 2020, at Disney California Adventure Park. Catch live music and dance performances by Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese dancers and musicians throughout Paradise Gardens Park. Make a wish for the new year (1:06) by writing down your wishes and tying them to the Lucky Wishing Wall. Meet characters Mulan, Mushu, Mickey and Minnie all dressed up for the holiday (1:39). Taste traditional Asian food, beverages and sweet treats while you watch Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession (2:10). Mulan and Mushu lead the procession with help from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale in their Chinese New Year outfits. Martial artists, musicians and ribbon dancers join them, along with a dragon! At night, make sure to watch the heartwarming pre-show to World of Color called “Hurry Home — Lunar New Year Celebration.”
