After a holiday from hell and 20 hours at sea, Mallacoota evacuees reach safety | ABC News

People evacuated from Mallacoota after it was surrounded by an inferno have made it to safety.

The operation to rescue those stranded in the remote part of Victoria is one of the biggest evacuations ever undertaken by the Australian Navy.

But while many are safe, the operation isn't over yet.
