Turkey facing a second Arab Spring Wide-spread and very bloody protests against poverty and corruption in Iraq, Iran and Lebanon, not to mention in Algeria suggest a second Arab Spring may be under way. Turkey is also deeply involved in the Syrian War planning to spend billions of dollar to resettle refugees in the districts it currently occupies. It is difficult to predict how mass movements will end, but Ankara needs to prepare for enduring turmoil in Mid East. With strong investment, tourism and trade ties to the region, such turmoil could have severe spill-over effects.
