The Delhi Govt. has installed 16 security cameras in every area of my housing society! Even though we have security guards, CCTV, and a barbed-wire wall already. So why did they install 16 cameras if this private society is safe and secure? This surveillance system has been created by Arvind Kejriwal's @Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). I support it in public places, but these cameras should not be in secure private colonies. It makes it too easy for the corrupt Police and intelligence agencies to spy on private citizens.
When you're someone like me who gets a lot of threats this kind of surveillance makes it far to easy for bad people to track my movements IN MY OWN HOME!
AAP is installing around 250,000 of such cameras around Delhi. Including 2 cameras in every school classroom.
