Suspect arrested after Bond Hill SWAT appears in court

Suspect arrested after Bond Hill SWAT appears in court CINCINNATI (WKRC) - One of two men at the center of a Bond Hill SWAT situation answered to charges in court Wednesday. Michael Milford faces receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, obstructing official business and gun charges.

Police were called to the Glen Meadow Apartments Tuesday morning after maintenance men found the locks to the doors of the common areas had been changed by drug dealers.

When police got there, they quickly arrested one suspect with a stolen gun. A second suspect refused to surrender. Since one had been armed, they called in SWAT officers.

Police eventually got the second man under arrest.

Dariz Bray faces an obstructing official business charge and is expected in court Wednesday afternoon.

In court, Milford's attorney said his client isn't admitting he had a gun, but if he had one it might be for protection because his left arm is paralyzed.

Assistant prosecutor David Wood didn't buy that argument because of Milford's past criminal record which includes drug trafficking and possession convictions and domestic violence arrests. "He's the type of person the legislature has determined is not allowed to carry weapons."

A judge ordered Milford held on at least $120,000 bond.
