PREPPER 101 - Necessity Is the Mother of Invention - UPS - December 18, 2019

With the internet connectivity and home entertainment grasping hands together in our world these days, you need to ensure your ability to be one step ahead of it. Xfinity is putting into homes a cable box that does not "SNAP" back on when the power glitches causing the unit to REBOOT sending you either into the kitchen for a snack, bathroom for a break or just siting there waiting.

I missed a big football game touchdown the other day when a power glitch reset the cable box unit unit.

NEVER MORE!!! I remembered I had an un used UPS (uninterruptible power supply) from my electronics storage box that needed to be resurrected from that box. It had been there since the closing of my brick and mortar business back in 2015. I only had to spend only $26.00 to replace the internal battery in the UPS. Now, I can sit back and relax the next time my local power is interrupted sending my cable box into a REBOOT mode that lasts well over three minutes. NO MORE MISSED ANYTHING!!!!
