Activists of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi demonstrated in Mumbai on Thursday to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC. A large number of Prakash Ambedkar‘s party workers took to the streets in Dadar.
On the other hand, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also took out a march in Kolkata. She said that I appeal to all the students to continue to protest democratically for their rights. Apart from this, Mamta announced to pay Rs 5 lakh each to the families of two people killed in a violent demonstration on Friday in Mangalore.
More than 50 thousand people are said to be involved in the Mumbai demonstration. A large number of people belonging to tribal society also reached there. They symbolically lodged opposition to the CAA and NRC through dance.
Earlier on December 24, Prakash Ambedkar met Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in Matoshree. During this time, he had demanded the CM not to implement the citizenship law in Maharashtra.
