Hyderabad Rape Case 2019, India. A 26-year old veterinary doctor, whose two-wheeler got punctured was raped and later burnt alive on the outskirts of Hyderabad by four men, who offered to help her get the deflated tyre fixed. It is about time when we as a society start investing financially, socially and ethically in the marginalised and deprived sections, along with other effective legal and political measures. The unchecked injustice, humiliation, material deprivation and their alienation are resulting in an increase of mindless crimes that we are unable to make any sense of.
