Being a frugal person is sometimes seen as a negative thing but I believe it's a really great trait to have or to learn, it means you question everything you buy. Not only do you question the price, you question the longevity of it and how much value it would add to your life, in a way it makes every purchase more intentional.
I think it is also important to watch electricity bills such as turning off lights and stuff. Or heating in winter, e.g. do you really need to sit in shorts and a tank top inside when it's freezing outside? Put on a sweater and comfy pants and don't hear as much.
Another one is going to the cinema or having a projector at home and creating your own cinema (only applies of you already have a projector, otherwise quite expensive)
Or before buying a plant I check Facebook groups to see if someone is giving (in lack of knowing the English word) babies of them away that they grew themselves.
