Following the almost forgotten instinct of self-preservation, on Thursday, Berlin challenged a Polish court's decision to ban Gazprom from filling the Opal gas pipeline to more than 50% of its capacity. Opal is a gas pipeline in Germany, a continuation of NordStream. There's no one to operate it, except for Gazprom. But this October, Poland got a court decision to limit Gazprom to only half of Opal's capacity. Now, Germany will litigate against Poland. However, this is only part of some rather tough intra-European tension.
