Chris Eubank Jr won the interim WBA middleweight title 2019 in less than 4 minutes record time. Christopher Livingstone Eubank Jr. is a British professional boxer. He has held the IBO super-middleweight title since February 2019 and previously from 2017 to 2018, and the WBA interim and British middleweight titles between 2015 and 2016.
Eubank Jr was initially put on the back foot in the opening round in Brooklyn after Korobov sent him back with clubbing left-handed blows.
Speaking After the fight, He said.
I feel like I was just about to get my swagger on. This wasn’t my dream debut here, I wanted to get my knockout and excite the fans.
The Russian-American appeared to have suffered a dislocation after throwing a punch shortly after the start of round two at the Barclays Center in New York.
After grabbing his shoulder in pain, Korobov walked back to the corner, and the referee Steve Willis was forced to stop the fight.
He was unable to continue the 12-round competition and Eubank was declared winner by way of a technical stoppage to claim an interim WBA midweight belt.
Speaking after the fight, the fighter from Brighton expressed his frustration that he couldn't put on a show for his country debut.
The winner said I will be ready to enter 2020 to get more titles.
