Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) has a vacancy for Registrar. The Registrar is a position stipulated in the Forman Christian College Charter given by the Punjab Assembly The Forman Christian College, Lahore Act 2004 (Act XXIII of 2004) and as amended in December, 2016. The three stipulated responsibilities in the Charter are to be the Secretary for Academic Council, Secretary to the Board of Advanced Studies and Research and Secretary to the Selection Committee for Faculty. The Registrar at Forman Christian College contributes in monitoring the overall functions of the institution as per rules, regulations and policies prescribed by the Board of Governors and by the Government regulatory authorities and ensures that the University is in compliance. He/She assists in the development, interpretation, application and modification of academic and administrative policies, regulations, rules and guidelines that will best serve the University. The Registrar is the University’s designated person for coordination and liaison with government departments and offices including the Federal Government, the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the Government of Punjab and its related departments, the Chief Minister’s Office, the Governor House, the Punjab Civil Secretariat, the Punjab Higher Education Department, the Punjab Food Authority, the FBR, PRA and other government regulatory authorities or courts of law. The Registrar either chairs or is member of various councils and committees as assigned. He/She ensures integrity, accuracy, and security of all University records of student degrees and builds secure University data files and sets policy and procedures for their responsible use.
