Quick dig metal detecting my local NH cellar hole for relics

Quick dig metal detecting my local NH cellar hole for relics Metal detecting a local colonial cellar hole here in New Hampshire.
It Autumn and the days are colder and shorter so today is going to be a quick dig. I chose to go to a site we call the cellar hole that waited. It is right in the neighborhood and one of our permissions to dig. This site was settled in the mid to late 1700s and lived upon until around the 1820s. Many great finds have come out of here including FG's 1/2 reale as well as a couple of really old US Navy buttons. So I figured with a little over an hour to dig I would hike on out to see what I could find. Digging up all signals detected with my Garrett ATGOLD I found a 1700s dinner ware knife, old buckle, part of an escutcheon and a few other iron pieces. Botton line it just felt great to get out for a quick dig and find a few old things that pertain to our local town history.
