PART 1 How to Determine the Topic Sentence in a Paragraph Summary for English WASSCE

We turn our attention to the most important aspect of a Summary passage - The Paragraph. In a piece of writing (the summary in this case), the author will have an overall point he or she wants to make about the subject but will use examples, illustrations, facts, date and digressions to emphasize or add more details about it. In this lesson and the next one we shall be discussing how to go about determining the topic sentence of a paragraph.
