Leaders from Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states and their partner countries gather for the 35th ASEAN summit in Bangkok on Saturday, November 2. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Korean President Moon Jae-in, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva are expected to attend the summit.
The encounter sees governments and representatives from the region’s major economies meet to discuss economics, trade security, investment and development opportunities in southeastern Asia.
The summit is attended by ASEAN's 10 members states Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
