One of my friends was in the Vietnam War. He was in the 25th Division. He told me that during Firefights, the M-16's would often jam on them and they would have to pull out their Cleaning Rods to run them down the Weapon in order to clear it. He said that it reminded him of being in the Civil War, where they were using Ram Rods on their Rifle / Muskets.
