26 Singaporeans injured after a wooden bridge collapse in Batam resort while taking picture. There were more than 30 people on the bridge at the time. The incident happened in Batam, Indonesia at 4.06 pm local time on 7 November 2019. The collapse was likely caused over capacity in a concentrated area of the bridge. The foundation of the bridge remains intact. The Singaporeans injured were from Yayasan Mendaki on a retreat.
