What Kazakhstan is REALLY Like! | We Tried Horse Milk in South Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 Ep 2

After spending 3 days in the mountain regions of Aksu-Zhabagly, with no network or connectivity, we headed to explore the ancient cities of Shymkent and Turkistan.

Both these cities were part of the Silk Route back in the day, and you can see glimpses of that in Turkistan especially. In this vlog, we explore Shymkent, eat some local Kazakh food and try the famous horse milk, visit the ruins of Otrar, head to Turkistan, eat a meal with a local Kazakh family, and visited some beautiful mausoleums.

Being a huge history buff, I really loved this place and the story behind it. We also ate some delicious food along the way and encountered camels! ❤️

In the next vlog, I’ll be exploring the capital city of Nur-Sultan/Astana so stay tuned for that!
