He was exiled in the movie because he lost the “who should be emperor fight” and that’s the law, apparently. But I think the reason the law was made was for him, because in the prequel he was emperor SkekSo’s adviser. He was pretty much next in line.
But the Skeksis would not have been murderers, and there still would be gelflings, other then just Jen and Kira, if not for SkekSil. He’s the one who started all this.
And he lies to turn his enemies against each other and to stay in power or gain more of it.
And don’t get me wrong I love SkekSil. He’s my boy.
But he is also a demon
