OFWs in Hong Kong advised to avoid demonstration areas as it enters 14th weekend | Business Nightly

There's no let up in the pro-democracy protests gripping Hong Kong as activists stage another weekend of fierce demonstrations. This has prompted the Philippine consulate in the city to once again warn Filipinos there to stay away from protest areas and avoid wearing black or white clothes. But Eman Villanueva the Secretary-General, Bayan Muna Hong Kong says, the advice is useless since Sunday is the only statutory day off of Filipino domestic helpers there. Villanueva instead suggests, for the Filipino workers to stay away from protest areas.
