Hurricane Dorians most unlikely path

So Dorian hits port in the Bahamas just long enough to destroy a lot of places. Heading directly for Florida and then starts drifting along the Florida Georgia lines taking a cruise.

How can that happen. Watching this video without even searching for a video of a hurricanes from twenty years ago I know that looks abnormal. It almost looks like a country has a vortices machine and is able to capitalize on altitude pressure changes and even put subliminal clouds through a matrix type machine.
