3 Camps 3 Ways - Ancient Variations On a Well Known Snare Part

3 Camps 3 Ways - Ancient Variations On a Well Known Snare Part That's at least 9 camps. Cassidy, Howe, and Hart each had a unique take on Three Camps, part of The Reveille in the ancient Camp Duty. The NARD and Wilcoxon versions are all 5, 10, and 11 stroke rolls, but in this video there are 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 stroke rolls. Quite the challenge to mentally adjust to the new timing of some of those rolls while still thinking about Three Camps.

Check out my books, including Encyclopedia Rudimentia here:

If you are wondering about the drum its a ~10x14" bass drum from a little kid drum set that I removed the spur and tom mounts, put on old style wooden hoops with the claws, and mounted a Ludwig snare strainer. It doesn't sound "great" because it only has 6 lugs but it sort of gives me that deep field drum tone.
