Stargate Atlantis actor, Joe Flanagan, confirmed he was a cut above the rest when he rose to the occasion and agreed to a request to cut a fan's hair. A guest at London film and ComicCon conference in Olympia 28/07/19, Flanagan admitted it was one of the strangest requests he had ever had. Jacqui Osz, who was queuing for an autograph with other fans asked Flanagan when she approached the desk if he would please cut her hair, into his trademark gelled tousled look. Selecting a generous portion of hair from the top of her head, she handed the bemused Flanagan a pair of scissors and said to him "cut here".
As he was about to begin, Flanagan, clearly hoping there would be no regrets, skillfully obliged. Fans suggested he charge for the service, to which he replied, "I'm running a salon here". He even applied hair wax she had provided. Osz was clearly delighted with the outcome. He declined to keep her hair as a memento.
The impromptu hair-over was viewed with much amusement by his colleague, Michael Shanks after he had gotten over the initial shock.
On the signed photograph, she had taken earlier with him, Flanagan had written, "nice haircut too".
