Indian stone-throwing festival gets bloody as at least 100 people injured Around 100 people were injured during a religious stone-throwing festival in Devidhura on Sunday.

The Bagwal festival, which literally means fighting with stones, is celebrated by the villagers of Devidhura in India's Uttrakhand state during the annual Raksha Bandhan.

Devotees are divided into two groups and throw stones at each other until a priest orders it to stop and inspects the amount of bloodshed for the goddess Maa Barahi.
