We start the episode by liming our small field and giving the cattle some straw bedding from our Kuhn bale shredder before we head over to the store with our spraying trailer and Horsch cultivator., both of which we sell to buy our new cultivator, a Bednar swifter 18.2m.
Once we get back to the farmyard we start cultivating our big field using our new cultivator and John Deere 8400 R. It start to rain in the evening and continue throughout the next day. We don't have much of a choice but to wait for the rain to pass, we do however use the time to prepare for the canola harvest over on our new field. Once the rain subsides and we finish the cultivating we start to plant our new crop, cotton, on our big field. The canola over on our new field is also ready so we start the harvest with our Ideal and John Deere harvesters, our auger wagon and our trusty Case IH Pro 7250, one of the first tractors we bought for the farm. With our big purchase we are required to sell some animal products during this hectic period, to pay for seed and wages.
We complete the cotton planting and canola harvest before calling it a day. The next morning we head over to the store to sell our bale shredder, as we don't need it anymore. We also load and cart the freshly harvested canola to farm bureau co-op and after some haggling (and waiting) we sell our crop for a decent price. We head back home to drop off our trailers and immediately head back to the store with our low loader to pick up our new tractor - a John Deere 9570R. We take it back home and start using it over on our new field, along with our new cultivator. We end up running both our John Deere tractors on the field, the 9R doing the cultivating and the 8R planting cotton.
