We are connected

“We are connected” is a music and image composition and installation devoted to honoring the beauty of the community we are creating every day. No matter how alone or divided we might feel, we are all connected to each other. Our community is our work of art, and we are all artists in it. In “We are connected,” the familiar sounds of the water, the birds, the train and the wind in the trees are all combined with melodies to form a symphony that supports and elevates a chorus of voices in many languages.

The piece travels through four neighborhoods, illuminating both the sounds and sights that make each neighborhood unique, and the ones they share in common. Sounds and sights from each neighborhood are also blended into the others, so watch and listen closely to catch them.
