Singapore has stopped a massive shipment of illegal elephant ivory and pangolin scales that was on its way from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Vietnam.

The seizure on July 21, 2019, included 8,800 kg (9.7 tons) elephant ivory, the largest seizure of the illegal animal product found in Singapore to date.
