When Lot's children were born in Sodom it was all they knew. Just like these last generations that have been born at this time are the same. They have been born in the post modern church age. The older veteran saints do know the difference, and that constitutes a gaping chasm between them. This is the Laodicean Church period, and that is as good as calling it the "Broad Road" travelers. The new and improved path and millions upon millions are on it. However there is another path and it is spoken about in Jeremiah 6:16. God is speaking in this verse calling out to all who will listen to ask Him for the old path that is good, where a person will find rest for their souls. Apparently the new modern path is not working. The souls of millions of Christians are not at rest in God, they are in turmoil. There is much to learn from the lives of all the great saints from long ago that have waged wars here, fought mighty battles, turned the edge of the sword and rerouted enemies, shut the mouths of lions, and quenched the violence of the fires. They are all in heaven now, but we are here in their place. The church is an epic failure, a flop and "the people love to have it so."
Time for those who are serious in their walks with God to take another look at what God says in the book of Jeremiah and be honest with themselves to God alone, and ask for the old paths "wherein is the good way and they will find rest for their souls".
