Arsenal's local rivals Tottenham had been keeping a close eye on Bowen's progress. However, reports claim that Arsenal have been watching Bowen since January and are now ready to swoop. A £12million summer move has been mooted. Arsenal are looking for cut-price signings this summer as they look to bolster Unai Emery's ranks on a budget. The Sun claim that Arsenal see Bowen as a value alternative to Wilfried Zaha, who hold a price tag well out of the Gunners' price range.
