Inventor, designer, and builder of the Kettlewell Frictionless Mouthpiece SLIDER, David Kettlewell, continues drilling a larger and larger hole in the Slider, slowly to avoid cracking, until it matches the size of the hole in the harmonica mouthpiece.

This invention eliminates friction of lips to mouthpiece, ends need for saliva to lubricate and thus keeps harp clean, facilitates easy movement to new note hole positions, and provides the player with a relaxed pucker embouchure.
